Sinusitis could be defined as an inflammation or swelling of the tissue bordering the sinuses. When normal sinuses are packed but when they get blocked and filled with fluid, germs can grow and cause contamination. Types of Sinusitis The different types of sinusitis include Acute sinusitis: This persists up to 4 weeks and is the most prevalent type. Subacute sinusitis: the signs remain longer than the usual acute period i.e. between 4 and 12 weeks. Chronic sinusitis: Indications continue, or frequently return, after 12 weeks.
